Microsoft Vista Users - Having Trouble?

If you are running into problems interfacing the Advanced Tactical Camera with your computer running Microsoft Vista, you are not alone. Microsoft (in their infinite wisdom) decided not to support the common media extension .avi in Vista. This has left a lot of manufactures of cameras scratching their collective heads. The good news is that it is an easy fix. Just download a media player that supports the .avi extension such as Windows media player classic. We have chosen not to provide links, they go out of date fast and I would hate to send you to a problem website. Just goggle avi player and chose one from a site you trust. I have used cnet, zdnet and divx in the past with great results, although we do not recommend any specific one. I hope this helps, sorry for the issues. THE ADVANCED TACTICAL CAMERA LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER ONE THAT IS ON THE MARKET WHY SHOULD I BUY FROM YOU?

We started with that camera, hoping that we could just design a mount for it and sell it as it was. unfortunately, after extensive and I must say, costly testing , it's was discovered that the camera "as it was" could not hold up to recoil. We chose to partner with the manufacturer overseas to build a camera to our specifications.

WHAT KIND OF COMPUTER DO I NEED TO USE THE ATC?

Actually, you do not need one at all. The camera comes with cables that will output the picture to any TV with RCA jacks! It also has a USB output so that you can down load directly to any computer using Windows XP. Vista has had some bugs, please contact us if you want to download to a computer running Microsoft Vista.

WILL THE ATC PICK UP IMAGES IN NO LIGHT SITUATIONS? WILL IT ZOOM? WILL IT WASH MY TRUCK AND FEED THE DOG?

No, No and no. It was developed for one purpose, to be a "black box" for an entry gun for SWAT teams. As the project matured, we started showing it to select individuals at trade show for feed back. The results were astounding. In my 25 years in the LE and firearms industry I have been involved in bringing many new ideas to market. I have never had one that had the overwhelming positive feedback that the ATC has had. That being said, we did not want a product that was priced so high that even the individual officer could not afford. We all have seen many great ideas die off because they tried to offer everything in one package and the cost was astronomical. As we stated on the home page though, customers have put the ATC to a lot of varied uses. We have had them mounted in rally cars, on planes, snowmobiles, bikes, motorcycles, ATV's and many other places too numerous to count.
